It's Drum making a new Base for his Dragon to fight Fafnir.Dragon has three bases ace, rock and GRAN not GRAND.It's officially called Grand. And Drum doesn't own the other two Bases before fighting Wizard Fafnir, as far as we know. Most likely since in the manga he only came up with the Ace Base when designing Dragon, it's fair to assume he doesn't own the other two Bases at the moment.
And the battle against Wizard Fafnir will force him to try something new to defeat it, like designing a new Base that could counter Fafnir's ability. Alright so round 2 starts and Drum actually uses the Gran layer. Fumiya starts the battle with an aggressive launch using the Rise's ring driver for attack, I guess this is their answer to create the new Nothing/Absorb Breaker, making Rise a giant Fusion, it's pretty neat. Since he did, Fafnir smashes into Dragon pretty hard and knocks it around. Eventually Dragon is able to recover and gives Fafnir a lot of hits, there's this really cool moment where Dragon smashes into Fafnir rapidly, clips of it hitting each other rapidly cycling through and it's awesome! Both knock each other back and crash against the wall, the Gran layer sliding safety from bursting since it's.
Well rounded, but Fafnir on the other hand has it's rubber rub against the wall and bursts itself, which is awesome since I've always wanted them to address this weakness of the Fafnir series (besides maybe Geist Fafnir). So yeah, Fumiya loses, sheesh, only like three episodes after his debut (short episodes too by the way) and Fafnir already loses, he didn't even get to burst anyone else yet.Drum wins and as a result and makes his club a lot more popular, with people crowding outside the clubhouse. Oh and by the way, when Valt checks out the news of Drum winning, Drums face on the photo was absolutely hilarious! Amane trains alone until he is helped by the uncle. Amane later comes back looking worn out wanting to battle Drum and their battle ends in a cliffhanger.Overall I enjoyed this episode a lot more than the last one as it was just more interesting to me. I think this episode along with the last one really shows that the lower duration doesn't do it much favours though, the two episodes actually just feel like one regular burst episode. Still, it was an enjoyable one and I would definitely give it a watch.
